Part II — How God Moved Through History

Personal Application
This supplement is a heart-to-heart companion to the preceding two lessons — addressing your immediate personal needs and practical application of the truths studied.
God made an unconditional covenant with Abraham — one that bound only God. And Lesson Sixteen showed that the conditions for asking and receiving are clear and consistent. This supplement explores the intersection: What has God unconditionally promised, and what conditions must you meet to access that promise? The two aren't in conflict. They're the two sides of how covenant actually works.
In Lesson Fifteen, we saw how God began revealing more details about His plan during the time of Abraham. He started showing us more clearly who the promised "seed of the woman" would be and why He would come into the world.
God chose Abraham's descendants to be His representatives on Earth. Their job was to demonstrate God's will among all people — to show everyone that God loved them and wanted to bless them with holiness, health, wealth, and happiness. These blessings could never be fully enjoyed apart from God.
God also wanted to show that He had a wonderful future planned for everyone who would follow His ways. During this time — what we call the Dispensation of Promise — God began requiring something specific: absolute, unwavering faith in His plan.
People were expected to believe that God wanted to remove want, sickness, and misery from the Earth. They were to trust that He would restore humanity to the state we enjoyed before the Fall. This approach to dealing with humanity made it possible for any individual who stayed true to God to receive everything He freely promised.
Here's the beautiful part: faith still works the same way today. Even if everyone else in the world refused to believe God and follow His plan, one person who does believe can still receive all the benefits. This makes God perfectly fair to everyone and allows each person to reach what the majority might miss.
As God's plan unfolds through these lessons, we can clearly see that the possibilities in prayer are unlimited. Lesson Sixteen showed us there are no limits to what we can receive from God according to His promises. There's no benefit God has promised that we can't obtain.
With this knowledge of God's will and the unlimited power of prayer, there's really no excuse for all the sin, sickness, disease, failure, poverty, and unhappiness in the world. It's honestly hard to understand why God's children settle for so much less than what's available to them when they could have abundance.
Yes, many have been taught wrong or limited ideas about God's grace. But that excuse doesn't work anymore — we're giving you the true light of God's Word in these lessons and supplements. From here on, it's not about ignorance or bad teaching. It will simply be a matter of willfully rejecting plain truth and refusing to put in the effort needed to receive these benefits.
In our previous lessons, we've given you plenty of scriptural proof that there's no limitation for believers in prayer. You can attain everything you want in this life and the life to come. Lesson Ten proved God's plan for meeting our needs. Lesson Twelve showed why that plan often goes unrealized. And Lesson Sixteen demonstrated how to attain the fullness of life simply by asking and receiving according to clear laws God has revealed in Scripture.
With all these wonderful truths plus the many helps throughout the lessons and supplements, you should be receiving God's abundance right here and now.
