NIrV Holy Bible for Adults
The complete NIrV text in an adult-oriented edition, designed for people with limited reading ability, learning disabilities, or those new to English seeking clear Scripture.
History & Background
The New International Reader's Version was first published in 1996 by Zondervan as a simplified version of the NIV designed for early readers, people with limited reading ability, and English-language learners. Written at roughly a 3rd-grade reading level with shorter sentences and simpler vocabulary, the NIrV is widely used in children's ministry. It follows the same dynamic equivalence philosophy as the NIV.
Canon Proximity Rating
Canon Proximity8.0 / 10 — High
